1 Before You Order Your Stone Countertop
Drawing/Layout:
Come with a layout or simple drawing with measurements so we can price out your stone project on the spot.
Note: All natural stones have fissures, pitting, and other natural attributes. It’s part of the natural beauty of the stone, not a “problem” or “imperfection.” Some stones have visible fissures and natural veining that may open up during fabrication. These are taken care of in our shop OR at the job site and will not affect the strength, beauty, or durability of your countertop. If you have any questions or concerns, please ask your salesperson prior to ordering.

Select a Sink
Selecting a high-quality sink is easy with Granite & Marble Works. We take the stress out of the process by offering a line of 18-gauge stainless steel kitchen sinks and china bowl vanity sinks. We can cut for any sink model you desire. Make sure to tell us about any sink accessories that you would like to include in your customized design.
Choose a Faucet
For your convenience, we also offer options for kitchen and bathroom faucets. Choose one of ours or purchase a faucet on your own. We don’t charge to drill faucet holes.
Backsplash
We can fabricate a backsplash to match your countertops. Of course, tile backsplash is also a very popular choice. Our knowledgeable staff will be happy to help you with design ideas.
Countertop Pricing
For most projects, we charge by the square foot. Unlike other fabricators, we do not make you buy whole slabs. In most cases, you only pay for the part of the stone that is used for your project.
Estimate
After we have your dimensions and design details, we’ll be able to provide you with an itemized estimate for your project. We can also offer suggestions to help you stick to your budget.
2 Ordering & Templating
Firm Order
Once all decisions have been finalized, we will reserve sufficient stone for your job with a firm order. An order is firm when we have received a (1) signed price quote/order form, (2) capital improvement form, and (3) 50% deposit.
Field Measure
We’ll come to you to measure and template your job. We do not need to disturb your existing countertops to template. At the appointment, all your project details will be confirmed, including seam locations, corners, overhangs, radii, and support requirements.
Layout
We layout your design and plan the cuts to protect the stone’s natural beauty and its structural integrity, and to take best advantage of natural patterns. We minimize seams after considering slab size, veining, color variation, movement, site conditions, etc. After template creation, if you would like to have input on the areas of the stone to include or avoid, we invite you to schedule an appointment to view your template on the stone.
Fabrication
Our experienced fabricators craft your project to our own exacting standards using cutting-edge tools and methods.
3 Stone Countertop Installation
Preparation
Please remove any items from your sink base cabinet and provide a clear and safe access area from the driveway to the work area. During installation, work zone traffic must be kept to a minimum. Children and pets cannot be allowed in this area.
Installation
This is the most exciting part of the process! We have an installation team of in-house professionals that are seasoned craftsmen. They will protect your property as they complete their work and will leave the area clean and tidy. Once the job is complete, you will be given the opportunity to ask questions and review the work prior to their departure.

4 After Installation
Follow-Up
You will receive a follow-up call from our office to ask how you like the finished product and to see if you have any questions. Your happiness is important to us and we sincerely appreciate your business!
Warranty
We warranty our work for one year from the installation date.
